Slum Dunk presents a special live set with Brazilian performer and sound artist Marssares. The artist is in London to develop a new work for Gasworks Gallery. Marssares work involves intervening with spaces either to manipulate their existing ambient sound or to create a sound base on which other activities take place. Recently he set up his 'Sound Parks' around the city of Rio de janeiro. An ongoing 'Sound Park' is the one created for Ipanema beach, where a wooden sound structure is buried under the sand forming a web of speakers. People are invited to walk onto the speakers which could be both heard and felt.
